‘GODSKITCHEN BOOMBOX’ TO SHAKE THE FOUNDATIONS AT GLOBAL GATHERING

Brand new for 2009 is ‘The Godskitchen Boombox’, a colossal rectangular structure that will house the state-of-the-art DJ equipment in the infamous Godskitchen Arena but will also act as a giant screen from which an astounding combination of lighting, LED’s and visuals can be projected in perfect synchronisation with the music. The Godskitchen Arena, Europe’s largest marquee, is renowned for combining the biggest DJs on the planet with groundbreaking production values that bedazzle the 15,000 capacity crowd.

The Godskitchen Boombox is the brainchild of ‘1024’ the people behind Exyzt, the Parisian based design collective who are pioneers of structural projection and responsible for numerous art and cultural design installations across Europe. At over 16 metres wide, 8 metres high and 6 metres deep the structure combines next generation technology whilst marrying architecture with art.

Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta are just a couple of the headliners set to perform in The ‘Godskitchen Boombox’. Armin was just voted #1 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 poll and along with tulips and Edam, is one of Holland’s most popular exports. David Guetta’s brand of electronic French house music has long been a recipe for chart success. His DJ sets at Global Gathering are always a crowd thriller, combining funk with house and electronic thumpers.

Armin says "There’s no better place on Earth than at 2 in the morning in the Godskitchen arena when 15,000 people are having the best night of their lives. This is the only place for me, which is why I have chosen to play Global Gathering as my exclusive festival performance of 2009"

Armin Van Buuren entertained 15,000 people at the largest indoor event ever in the Ukraine. To view movies, amazing pictures and behind the scenes footage of the first Godskitchen Boombox outing please visit:

    Re: Global Gathering 09

Got my ticket!!! Went in 2007, and it was bloody brilliant!!

Went in the gods kitchen arena once in '07 and it's absolutely amazing.... obviously there's no drum and bass, but just go in for 10 minutes out of the whole festival. It's like a huge amazing club, with massive stages, dancers, lazers and all sorts... and then you remember you're in a massive field, in the middle of no-where.

Then you get out again, because you remember there's better music somewhere else.

But it's going to be a big weekend!!!
