Calling all Vinyl Touch space cadets – two pieces of smashing news for you (champagne corks at the ready):

* THE VINYL TOUCH WON AT BREAKSPOLL!

We were super chuffed to win ‘Best small club’ at Breakspoll 2009. The awards were held at Fabric and the winners were chosen by public vote – so massive thanks for all your support.

* AND WE’RE HAVING ANOTHER MASSIVE PARTY!

Our spectacular roll of fun continues into 2009 as The Vinyl Touch – the best breakbeat party in town – returns to The Rhythm Factory with a big bash, a great crowd and one of our hottest lineups yet!

Heading the lineup is a man who needs no introduction, but let’s give you one anyway: Adam F – the MOBO award-winning boss of label Breakbeat Kaos a star in his own right who’s produced for acts from De La Soul to LL Cool J – is playing a peak-time set of DnB smashers and classic jungle in the main room.

The frontman of Dub Pistols, Ibiza club legend Barry Ashworth, is making his debut at The Vinyl Touch with a mix of solid breaks sure to feature a smattering of his hip-hop, ska, reggae, punk and soul roots, a warm-up before he sets the summer festivals alight.

Also joining the lineup are Beat Assassins (aka Jimmy Mofo and DJ Wooz) showing off their ruffneck-style beats, as well as radio station Point Blank’s very own nu skool duo Wax Equestrian & Sparkie alongside breakspoll award winning Djs Apply The Breaks.

Injecting our trademark sense of fun into the night, we’re featuring two super special extras. First up is Dalston’s very own night of silliness, Why So Serious?, taking the crowd back for the first few hours of room two with 90s anthems, 80s party tunes and underground dance hits. Plus we’ve dedicated this Vinyl Touch event to the raving Space Cadets out there (this was chosen before Bestival’s theme announcement, by the way!). Two very good reasons to dress up like a loon on the moon and dance the night away!
