right there is a pretty good example of what I'm talking about.

Anyone here have any knowledge or experience with live drum and bass? i've been drumming for a long time and want to get into something like this. i've tried to meet djs to work with but it seems everyone these days just spins house...

Try listening to Jungle Drummer and DJ Fu. They do a whole live drums vs DJ thing, pretty good. I saw then at One Nation a while ago, it was good for a bit but I don't think it's possible to drum at 175bpm for an extended time without messing up The club did catch on fire during a set by Chase and Status, that might have soiled my view of the night.

Not atall, alot of metal is about 200bpm maybe higher...depends really and the drummers are fine.

also jungledrummer goes higher that 175most of the time

I saw krust with a whole band once at warning. There was a drummer, bassist, keyboards, Krust and backing vocalists.
That was a heavy night.
Seen the jungle drummer a few times too he's always sick.
You need to get yourself a dj and work some shit out with him.
Could probably do some sick shit with effects and a sampler too.
