I bought a 3.5mm to phono lead yesterday hopefully so I can start record my mixes. I've got a powerbook and all my memory on windows is gone so I'll be using MacOs.
can any1 recommend a good software to start using? preferably free as im skint!
thanks for any help!

on a side note.. when mixin do you mainly have the highs midway on the mixer or do you vary it alot.. like I gradually increase it as I mix in a song but on my speakers I find the drums are too loud if I've got it midway!!

ok so got it all set up.. one problem is audacity is recordin one channel of the mixer fine yet the other is just really quiet u can barely hear it..? arghh! any ideas?!

What output are you plugging the lead into on your mixer?
If you're mixer has got a booth output as well as the record output, try using the booth. I always use the booth output to record anyway cos you can adjust the levels better using the gain control.
