yo is there anyway you can remove the tone arm from the deck? i wanna take mine round to my mates technics mk2s for a mix up cos hes got jumping jack needles n i didnt wanna jump straight in case i damaged them cos there new

Can't you just unscrew the headshells and take the headshells/cartridges/stylus to your mates? I don't get why you need to remove the entire tone arms?

good luck, that is the most tricky thing to repair on a tech 12, i would take it in to a professional.
