does anyone know how to get realistic sounding chior-ish vocals as heard on tracks such as Dead Zone by State of mind and Exodus by noisia. Whenever i try it sounds wrong because you can hear the sample starting again so it doesnt sound smooth, if i turn the attack down on my sampler it still sounds wrong because whenever a new note is played it fades in again, i really want to use this sound in my next track so plz help!!

what program u using mate? some programs have choir sounds built in eg Reason has loads in the samplers, defo about the envelope settings, mess around with the attack so it doesn't come in too suddenly, u can make it more gradual by changing that

if ur looking for more atmosphere try processing the sound, filters, reverb works a treat!

its all about layering sounds, build up layers with different settings, chorus, reverb, delay some an octave higher, or an octave lower. layer, layer, layer

yeaaa nn19 digital sampler in REASON has different choir vocals
they sound really good in a minor based riff.
aaahhhh's and oooh's male and female! x

i use Magnus Choir VSTi by Syntheway(?) or something like that, pretty good i think

thats only a basic one, there are better choir VSTi's out there, East West's Symphonic Choirs for example, really expensive though
