For those of you out there who buy digital, if ya interested heres some links to where you can purchase the first few releases off my all new Aussie homegrown dnb label 'Golden Orb Records'!!
Its mainly liquid stuff but with a deep atmopsheric edge, would really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes just to take a listen. I know the general opinion is Aussie dnb particularly if it aint signed to a major uk label is inferior, but I think you may all be surprised to hear there is some worthy stuff out there, its just very hard to get signed in the current market due to the whole vinyl-digital tug-of-war.
The label has a release coming out about once a month featuring some established and up-coming artists from here in Australia as well as Europe so look out!

A - Liberty :
Deep, rolling drum-funk flavored drum'n'bass. Operon showing off his diverse skills with this brooding and atmospheric number that's been turning heads on his bassdrive radio show for months and has featured in playlists on many of the A-grade dnb dj's of the world. The track kicks things off with some spooked out sax multiphonics and dissonant jazz keys, scooby doo style! The off-step syncopated drum-pattern rolls along nicely with sneaky amen edits chopping in to provide scope and interest to the percussive parts. The tune drops with a killer bass-line that will push sub's to the limit with growling filtered synth layers that make the track sound so thick there almost no space for more, but Operon still manages to squeeze in a 16-bar amen edit work-out that will have the jungle purists screaming for more!
B - Your Destination :
Serious dance-floor drum'n'bass with deep minimal Metalheadz style edge. Once again Operon proves his diverse production skills with a track thats bound to keep both liquid fans and the tougher dnb heads moving. The intro kicks straight into the rolling break with warm old-school-esq string chords filtering slowly into the mix. The main break hits and slowly the other musical themes and synths are introduced before the bass hits in on the 64 mark. The minimal super low bass-line gives this track some serious grit while the track slowly builds with new synth parts and musical elements cutting in to keep musical interest. This track will be sure to go down well in many a drum'n'bass environment.
