I see loads of bods in forums these days slating Pendulum. I think its almost become a "cool" thing to do... hate Pendulum. Its almost like.... if you dont hate Pendulum then your not a junglist??
I think alot of people are forgetting what Pendulum did for dnb when they first started... i personally think the good that they bought to the scene far out ways the bullshit they wrote earlier this year.

But anyway... who do you rekon is going to be next in the line of fire??
What producers arent pulling there weight right now??

I kinda think TC is getting hated on quite alot at the moment..... i give him a few more months and there will be a Pendulum style forum post from TC about the forum haters... hahaha.

I think TC's not that bad at producing, he has made some quality tunes, so have Pendulum.

75% of TC's or Pendulum's tunes are good tunes, you get some not so good ones though.

I have no reason to start slating them tbh...

TC has some good tunes.

People hate Pendulum, just like people now hate Eminem.

But just because Eminem was sick at one point, don't mean people can have an opinion on him, and say he's shit. I fucking hate him now, but still love his older music. He sold out. Made more mainstream music to get more and newer fans, turning his back on his older fans who loved his rugged an raw shit. Guess people think the same of Pendulum?

indeed....still proud of owning all my pendulum tunes but they sold out and wouldnt classify their new tunes as "drum & bass"....like eminem sold out, still listen to marshall mathers album every track is quality!!

question is.....who will be next.........i can see TC collaborating with kayne west soon........hhahaha jokes dont get me wrong i like TC's tunes...but it worries me that producers will be tempted into making shite mainstream for more dolla.

TC is being hated now. In a couple of months he'll be the new Pendulum.

Hazard is next.

There I've said it, Hazard is next after TC.

Before you lot turn on me and say that Hazard is totally different and quality and wonderful, totally different, let me say this, exactly the same comments were made about Pendulum when they were producing tunes like The Vault and Masochist. A year or two ago, TC was being proclaimed the saviour of dnb - then junglists turned on him viciously (though not yet as viciously as they have on Pendulum). Hazard is going to suffer exactly the same fate. I'm not going to argue about how Hazard is completely brill and will never make crap - I'm going to say, look at history. Anyone that rises quickly to the top of dnb gets hated.

As far as Pendulum is concerned, I'll defend their stuff up to say Axle Grinder but fuck me, the newer stuff is total shite. Its not good dnb and its not good rock and its not good anything in between. I'm not hating on them for not making 'straight-up' dnb, I'm hating on them for making CRAP.

High Contrast, Gold Digger, cough cough. High Contrast doesn't get hated on (except by the insane) but that boy has been working hard for a long time and never reached Pendulum heights.

Yeah that remix is pretty shite, but High Contrast is a wicked producer.

High Contrast never really boasts... or does he ever try to classify his tracks... which is why i think people will never hate on him...... He makes dnb for people that dont like dnb... he admits that himself.... but does a wicked job at doing it.

I agree with the Hazard comment.... He's doing pretty damn well right now... his older tracks are pretty damn shabby compared to his new stuff..... But yeh... once this new wave of Jump-Up is over with... then i think Hazard will bare the brunt....

Well said

Regardless of all the bullshit and politics - TC is probably one of the most technical and talented producers with flawless mixdowns, that the scene has to offer.
There is nothing wrong with commercialising some of your music to try to reach and appeal to a bigger audience and make a few quid along the way. Making DnB tunes doesn't pay enough alone. Look at 'BODY ROCK' - that went commercial - didn't do RAM or Andy any harm or get disrespect.
Not every producer gets it right every time, but TC has made some BIG tunes.

Body Rock got into the charts simply by popularity..... where as someone like TC for instance is taking an obvious step by working with people like Justin... Kanye etc.... thats the difference..... working with ppl like that is a guarenteed pop chart track.
I think TC is ok anyway... not a fan of all his stuff.... but in the end of the day music is a business... and no matter how many people say you have to keep it underground or that you cant "sell out"... its all bullshit....... got to make your money some how. If dnb isnt going to give you the right money that your talent deserves then why not move to something different????

And in the end of the day.... its been done for years by loads of dnb producers.... most are smart enough to go under a different name... so they dont lose their dnb credability... ie Stakka... who has written alot of TV stuff and some pop tracks so ive heard..... but no one will ever know because he didnt go an call himself "Stakka".

OK, here we go (the P in my name stands for pedantic)

That high contrast gold digger track, and correct me if I'm wrong, didn't feature any of Kanye's lyrics in it (can't remember, didn't buy it at the time) it just had the samples from Ray Charles' "I've got a woman" but, it being notoriously difficult to secure a sample of any Ray Charles tune, High Contrast used the sample from Kanye's Gold Digger, which for the same reason, used a sample of Jamie Foxx singing "I've got a woman" from the film "Ray"

So technically, he didn't really work with Kanye, he just used the sample, which Kanye has sampled from a film. Technically it's a High Contrast featuring Jamie Foxx tune!

I'm sure nobody cares about this, but there you go anyway...

BODY ROCK didn't have to be made commercial. Its was RAM's decision to let it get that way. A bit of exposure and recognition for the label and the scene...oh and not forgetting a slap round the face of the cock's that keep saying Drum and Bass is dead.....Clueless pricks.

you cant control whats in the charts mate.... if it sells enought then it gets into the charts.

Fair enough Ram would have had to release the tracks on the right types of media for it to get to the charts but other than that they have no control.

Real Hip-Hop heads hate what Eminem has become.

I'm on a rap site with: Members: 40,356, Active Members: 9,291 on, and trust me, Eminem is hated.

Have you not heard his recent music.

Nor is he a role model to me.

I loved his first 3 albums, Infinite, Slim Shady LP and Marhsall Mathers LP, and his early mixtapes, but since then he's gone shit. "Ass like that" "Just lose it" "Mockingbird" and that shitty "Shake that arse for me" are all awful. Even Presents the RE up" was piss poor.

Loads of people loved pendulum's classic stuff, but don't like their new stuff.

I don't see how you dismissed my comment.

Yeh Pendulums old stuff was wkd... thats why i think ppl are giving them such a hard time at the moment. If you make really good stuff... then when your ideas have run out you get axed for it!

i think hazard will be next even though he is incredibley talented(but so are pendulum and tc)

i dunno who else though..who knows maybe andy c will start getting hate threads i doubt it though
