Remix Contest Rules, Regulations & Prize Information


Playloop is looking for House, Techno, Drum & Bass, Down Tempo or Breaks style remixes for Ross D's up coming "Disappear Remix EP".


1) The deadline for remix submission is August 31st , 2007.


2) All supplied audio samples are provided in .wav format and are © 2007 Playloop Records, Inc. Permission is granted for use in this remix contest only.


3) All entrants must ensure that any samples used in their remix are the supplied audio samples, their own creations or copyright free. NO SAMPLING COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL!


4) The winner will be required to submit a high quality audio copy or data copy of their remix in .wav or .aiff format, but we ask that all remixes intially only submit high quality mp3s!


5) 1 to 5 winners will be selected by the PLAYLOOP crew. The winner(s) will have their remix included on Ross D's "Disappear Remix EP" to be released on September 20th, 2007 on Beatport, iTunes, Juno, DanceTracksDigital and more.

All released remixes will be signed to the Playloop Record label and remixers will receive a of royalty (50% of the artists share) on all copies sold.


6) All submitted remixes become property of Playloop Records, Inc. until the official announcement of the winner. A remix will become disqualified if it is found as a single or in a mix on a downloading network (Limewire, KaZaa, etc) or played in a DJ set by an artist other than the original remixer. A remixer is allowed to use their own remix in their own DJ sets. However, under no circumstances, can such sets be sold, offered for download, or distributed in anyway without being subject to disqualification. After the winner is announced, remixes can be distributed freely or played at the remixer's discretion. Under no circumstances is a remix to be sold by any party other than Playloop Records.


7) By downloading the supplied .WAV audio files, contestant(s) agree to abide by all contest rules.

Contestants are required to send us an email with a valid email address containing their artist name, title of their remix, and country of origin. Submissions can be sent via the following methods:

I am notifying the label about the issue. I know others have submitted remix via this address without problems, so it is possible it is just a temporary issue. In the mean time, you can upload files and send a link to myself or Playloop records via myspace.
