    C-Child & General Disarray - Silent Hill

I've been on this forum for a few years now and this is my first track I've put up so I'd be really grateful for any feedback. Its a track I made with a mate of mine using a piano melody from Silent Hill that some people might recognise. Aside from the fact it needs shortening and the clipping kick drum on the drop needs sorting its pretty much finished but any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The track's the one that automatically plays on my myspace profile

Made a few changes to the track now. Sorted out the clipping on the kick and shortened the track to a reasonable length. Any feedback, good or bad, or any suggestions for improvement in any way would be much appreciated

Fun Idea bro. Push this forward.

Your drums sounds are nice. But your cymbals sound unnatural consistantly. I recommend listening to some reggae and funk and picking up some higher quality samples.

The only criticism I can give is that the first drop sounds really stark. I would love to hear some ambient noise or a small pad or maybe just thicker drums with more ghosted snares.

Haha, I watched the film again an thought that riff would make a sick sample, looks like you beat me to it!

M-kay, It would be a bit of a whore to mix with as it is, maybe an open hat?

I really think this track could benefit from a tuff break, with lots of ghost snares incorporated into it - at the moment when i drops, it lacks that 'ooompfffh'!

Good ideas tho bro, especially as you are still in your early production days.

Also I checked white space, same again, a break would do wonders to it, bass is nice an wobbly, feeling that.

Thanks for the feedback Jay, I'll get to work on some improvements soon. Feel free to have a go at making a track with that piano riff too, it would be interesting hear another approach to it. Want me to send you the MIDI data for it?

To everyone else, this tracks available for free download now so take a look at let me know what you think, I'm still open to suggestions. And thanks again to everyone that's taken the time to have a listen so far

No probs mang, a wav of the loop would be sick if you got it, if you got the wavs of the track, i could always have a crack a remix

Check you PMs Jay. There's a link to a .rar file in there with WAV samples of the some of the instruments we used and a few other samples from the Silent Hill film and games in there. My mate did them for me because we did the track on his computer so sorry if there's anything missing or not quite right. Let me know if you get round to doing a remix
