Bleurgh! I'm a die-hard Transformers fan too and this film a complete pile of shite. Nice effects/action but the story line is non-existent and Megatron doesn't even wake up until about an hour and a half into the movie! I want a film about Transformers, not about lame arse Americans and their shitty little lives. Don't waste your £7...

Thrawn hit the nail on head, its a film about Americans (and their army - another military wank fest - what the frag has Qatar got to do with ROBOTS IN DISGUISE?), not giant frigging robots.

Every kid loved Optimus Prime, I remember crying when he died in the animated film. This time round he has no character and less dialogue than the frigging Secretary of Defence (YEEHAA, KICKASS, I'M AN AMERICAN!).

This sort of Hollywood military wank fest recruiting film + ad for products + feel good coz we're all AMERICANS was stale even before Iraq.

I watched Buffalo Soldiers yesterday and enjoyed seeing a M1 tank full of soldiers on heroin drive into a German petrol station (boom!) a hundred times more than Megatron and Optimus Prime fighting through office buildings with NO humans getting hurt. In the animated film, I repeat the kids animated film, 9, thats NINE, characters got killed.

Bollocks to this film, only the CGI was fairly cool.

Plus if I want to watch hot girls titty flashing I can go rent a horror film about cheerleaders. I don't rent a horror to watch giant robots.

Transformers 2 better be about Cybotron not soldiers in Qatar + Los Angeles and the General Motors product range. No humans next time please unless Megatron is chopping them up.

saw it last night and i can say it was a pretty decent film. Fight scenes were sick and there was a good amount of comedy laced throughout the film. and i wouldnt really say it was a kid's film, quite a few adult topics in there

He's Megatron in the future. Starscream leaves Megatron for dead and Unicron, the big planet bastiche, rebuilds Megatron into Galvatron, Galvatron/Megatron kills Starscream.
