OH MY FUCKING GOD!

Goldie and Lowqui absolutely tore the place down on Saturday. By far the best dnb night I have ever been, and that's saying something.

Was good to meet so many faces, Jane, Mike, it was good seeing you again and I look forward to the next time. Didje, Ciga, Pat, Fish, Skyline, and any others I forget, it was nice to meet you finally after talking with you online and put some faces to names.

Everyone present truly made that night, there was people literally bouncing off the walls, and Goldie's selection smacked it all night, absolutely cutting edge. No amount of words can describe how good this was.

This is truly what drum n bass is all about. People from all around the world getting drunk and going apeshit on the dancefloor to some dnb. Thank you once again for being so hospitable to a silly boy like me.

Here are my pics from the night.

A big fat get down thank you to Jungle Jane, for making this possible.

Ask anyone. Ask Goldie, Lowqui, Friction, SP:MC, Tomahawk, MC Wrec, Dieselboy, Messinian, El Hornet, Verse, Makoto, Deeizm, Dave Specialist, Sonic, or anyone who has been to Phreaktion.

Shanghai is quickly becoming THE place for drum and bass in Asia.

Malicious_uk, its an open bar all night so everyone was mashed.
You know how it is, the club is really crammed full, proper banging dnb on a wicked soundsystem, everyone's hot and sweaty, loads of girls grinding against you, and the drinks are free. Whaddya think mate? :teeth:

Oh, and frequently check out www.phreaktion.com for more info about future line-ups and dates.
The big Phreaktion parties happen once a month, and we've had Goldie & Lowqui, Dieselboy & Messinian, Scratch Perverts, Pendulum & Verse, Makoto & Deeizm, Tomahawk, Logistics, Chris Goss, MC Wrec and all the Hospital Records crew, Sonic, Friction & SP:MC, Marcus Intalex, LTJ Bukem & Conrad, Shy FX, all these DJs and MCs in one year (and the event has only been running for about 18 months in Shanghai). Recently we've been packing the club out with around 1500 punters, and there's plenty more to come.

If you're thinking about coming out here to check it out, drop us a line mate :mr_cool:

AGAIN with the Goldie Shanghai mash-up, ALWAYS with the Goldie Shanghai mash-up!!

After hearing him play late last year my estimation rose several notches, yet again. It seems that (if he stays off the gear) he just rips the shite out of anything around with ease. And the tunes are too upfront to have actually been made yet a lot of the time.

Respect.

I know. Out of all the gigs here I think the Goldie ones are the ones that make the most impact, just because of who Goldie is and his personality throughout. So yeah. You can hear whatever shit from DOA and other sources but until you actually see him play and spend some time around him, you will never know how essential to this scene he is.

And I know exactly what you mean about his selection, always cutting edge and upfront, I have to get tune id's from the man himself if I want any knowledge of what he's spinning
