Vocalist Robert Manos has been a fixture in the evolution of Seba’s stripped down sound, with his lyrics coasting properly over this tune, giving the tune another layer of depth. “Power Love” keeps the train on course, showcasing Seba’s intricate drum work; the way the snares skitter, you’d think that he had a live drummer smacking the skins. This track builds from the initial drums to incorporate a b-line that’s parts funk, parts jazz, and 100% rollin’. Seba has been on a roll for a decade now, and releases like this further solidify the type of producer he is; there’s no nonsense or pretension with his sound.
