What Synth makes this sound? (mp3 sample)

I have heard this indescribable sound in many songs ranging from danny c, to tech itch, to crossfire, and I am pretty sure its from a virus synth but thats just my guess. Anyone actually know what produces it? And also does anyone have a full length of better quality sample of it?

The people you've heard using it will have sampled it, I'm not sure where the exact origin is, maybe a Joey Beltram record or something like that but it's probably a juno or some other old synth manipulated in a really fucked up way.

You'll often people calling this sound a "mentasm" as it sounds like the noise out of a tune of the same name.

Hmmm thanks for the insight man. I always figured it was produced by some hardware every time but i suppose it would make sense if it was sampled all from one origin.

Juno x2 is the synth that makes that sample, its available in softstynth format and has a really fat chorus on it. Just click in the 'hoover' preset and hey presto
