New Zealand get ready for the imminent and long awaited debut of one of the original badman, blockbuster DJ’s of UK drum and bass, the one and only Mampi Swift. Accompanied by MC IC3, the dangerous duo are down under to tear up dancefloors and to promote Swift’s brand new LP “Music Forever”.

Formally known as Swift, the addition of "Mampi" to his name was no coincidence. The term meaning "big, strong and quick" depicts everything about him from his pure physique to his amazing "double-dropping" djing skills. His electrifying sets and commanding presence behind the decks have seen him become a firm crowd favorite in London and on the global drum and bass circuit. In Drum n Bass Arena’s list of the top 10 DJs of 2004, Mampi was voted second overall, beating out other contenders such as Marky, Hype, Friction, and Zinc. The fact this vote came from the fans simply proves how good he is at what he does.

Swift describes his style as "plain rolling”, while others have called it “nasty”, “dirty”, “raw”, and “twisted”. Catchy beats are a key element to his overall sound but it's the unique distorted basslines that leave the biggest impression. Swift has worked alongside producers such as Blame and Fresh on some epic collaboration’s. His successful debut album ‘Mainframe’ was recently followed up by the excellent “Music Forever” project. With so many seminal hits under his belt including: “Jaws”, “Hi Tek”, “The One”, “Trippin”, “Mainframe”, “Zion” and “Play Me” – Swift’s latest artist album is eagerly anticipated. There is no denying the man has a serious ability for producing some of the largest tunes around. Prepare yourself New Zealand because a night with Mampi Swift at the controls is like nothing you have experienced yet!
