Keeping true to the cause of breaking the most exciting new wave of producers, our latest recruit: Subtension debuts his first solo release! Delivering three diverse tracks reaching out far and wide into the drum and bass scene from his base in Slovakia.
Opening number AK47 is like its namesake; weaponry of the highest quality and calibre. Constructed around rough as you like reese basslines that incorporate dancefloor destroying triplets along-side gruff, evil stabs and modulated madness. The tune smacks you in the face like the hammer of Thor. The tightly coiled, clipped drum beat demands respect with sucking and blowing industrial-esq sound effects - that gently waft in time with the track in the background - working perfectly in conjunction with the tune’s deep subs and classic jungle fills, that when combined, ramp up the levels of dread to claustrophobic levels. It’s a dark, rolling number that perfectly epitomises the beefed up, aggressive Hardware sound.
