Scrapheaper - Ozymandias (Minimal/Deep/something)

Did a minimal/deep something.

Partially inspired by some of the minimal tracks I've been seeing in this section of the forum.


Really feeling my lack my lack of monitors/good headphones for this one.

Tell me everything I did wrong.

Lovely vibe man! The Kick is a bit all over the place. It needs more sharpness, possibly changing its sound in the first place. The track does need something else though. Possibly more variations on the 'military' drums (basically the lead of the track)??

But overall, it is a well made track with lovely vibe. Good job

Yeah, the kick was what meant when I was talking about regretting having no monitors. I made it a while ago out of samples of my djembe and liked the sound, but when I went to mix this track I realised the kick sub was eating all the headroom and I think I ruined the rest of the kick trying to sort it.

I'll have another go and put in some drum variations.
