I have entered it. God, the samples are shit.

haha what! they are? this i have to see.

They do sound highly distorted. I am trying to keep a similar vibe with the main 80's riff, but I am struggling.

but his jah remix... oh my days.that is fking RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. had a greek ice coffee and i think its talking to me

the samples did sound kinda bad... mostly the synth sounds and vocals with of background noise in them

i tried to make them as clean as possible, like using a vocoder with the vocals "rockin it" as both the modulator and carrier to remove all the noise... it worked pretty well. for the synth riffs, i just re-made them with different sounds that catch that same vibe.


when i first saw the blogpost mentioning Dom & Roland Remix Competition i almost shit myself! i thought oh man, i hope it's Parallax or Minds and Machines of Moulin Rouge!! not quite, but still it was a really remix to make
