WHAT LABEL? Thread

I don't really agree with sending to 3 different labels as i think a good label would want you as the artist you are as a whole and not just for 1 of your tracks.

I do have a clip of one of the tracks in a video on my facebook page but I do like keep my cards close to my chest so currently no other clips are out there :p Just waiting on 1 track to get back from mastering then I will be ready to start sending out.

That is true, but if they are really diverse, it makes much more sense to send to different labels, than all to the same one. You would be expanding your portfolio and network if send to separate labels.

Alright man, of course i get that but then i obviously can't help you about where to send your demos, sorry ^^ you could send me a link to that clip though.

might help to post the tracks in question when looking for the right labels to send to. good idea for a thread

Well I heard them all and I suggest to split them like this:

2 different singles:
Hustle / Carnival
Survival (on its own)

IMO the label for Survival is Mainframe Recordings: https://soundcloud.com/mainframerecordings it does seem to fit with the label's sound.

Now Hustle / Carnival is a bit of a tough one. They are not your usual jump up, but they are definitely dancefloor based. The closest label I can think of is Audioporn: https://soundcloud.com/audiopornrecords

Now one thing to remember is that, if one of us recommends a label to someone, and that someone doesn't get his/her track signed, doesn't mean it is our fault. We are here to help each other :)

Awesome thanks for the feedback! I had originally planned an EP but "Survival" didn't really fit in with the style I was going for.

Im not too familiar with Mainframe but will check them out and have Audioporn on my radar ;)

Haha no worries, I did plan on releasing it as a free EP but thought why not try my luck and see how they go :)

Since they all different songs being sent out to different labels, you can send them at one go (in separate emails naturally)

Does anyone know labels like V Records / Chronic Records (or a way to contact them)???

I am undecided between Intrigue Music and Vandal Records for this track in mind, but I can't really decide. Any help?
