Im lookin into buyin a better quality headset. I dont really want to spend over $30 but you know what happens? Well these are only $10 more, and those are only $5 more than that, and well ... these are just $60...

So should I take my $60 somewheres else or what do you think of these?

[Just for listening to music. Not for mixing.]

Impedance
35 ohms

Sound Pressure Level
105 dB (1mW/500Hz)

THD
less than 0.1% (1mW/500Hz)

Weight (without cable)
approx. 180 g

Thats not the color I want. Doesnt really matter. The last one rocks and there is a better design called RealTree

Basically Skullcandy is absolute trash but you probably won't get much for $60 from a better brand anyway... even less so $30. Also they're ugly as sin. You're better off looking at brands like Sennheiser.

Also most people on here are from outside the US so won't have much of an idea how $60 compares so it might be a better idea to convert prices if you want any decent advice.

$30 is a pittance for buying headphones. Youre better off buying a steak dinner, or skipping dinner altogether a couple nights so you have a propa $100+ budget.

Skullcandies are trash, go for sennies or sonys or some shit

no just save a bit man... i got these just now for out of studio work.

and before i had...

Both excellent IMO for the price.

I cant comment on sehnheisers but i hear good things about them but the two that i chose were thoroughly researched.

Not sure if you have Ross Dress for Less near you but they always have great deals on headphones. Now this may be hard to believe but these headphones by Sony are far better than any other headphones I've ever heard, and I bought them from Ross for $15.00. They aren't the spendy brands and may not be as good, but I couldn't imagine headphones sounding any better, any louder, or being any tougher.

Haha, m8 i can guarantee that there are definitely way better sounding headphones than any $15 sonys. Especially build quality.

Of course the professional headphones are completely better. The build quality on the other hand... I'd put my money on these Sonys.

Ross sells name brand at discount prices... Those headphones are worth at least 50.00, retail for about 30.00, and Ross sells them for 15.00.

As people said here before, save some money and buy AKG, or Sehnheiser (did I spell it right?), or beyerdynamic.

Or you can go full retard and get these:

akg 518 are fine, not really flat (heavy emphasis on low end) but nice for listening and djing, they sound really good for their price but their cable breaks easily

Thanks! I checked last night and there were no responses. I know, I know! These are NOT dream headphones tho , I am marketing to buy just mp3 player music. I found these gorgeous sods http://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/shop/dt-770-pro.html

Most likely picking them as my pro pair in a few months when I get around to it. Im probably going to settle on Newmark Redwaves. Those are so sick defo.

This forum is hilarious. I really enjoy reading and posting here
