I know it used to be possible to link virus to z3ta can you do this with other synths? like linking massive to a hardware synth or z3ta 2 to hardware for example?

Also Im looking to buy a 2nd hand synth (hardware) with or without keys. budget 250-300.

Thanks

Moog slim phatty has an audio input that lets you use its filter and distortion over other sounds. That might possibly be within your budget second hand and it's a good investment if you want something that sounds nothing like a software synth.

Nice one serum got a few of your tracks on wax big up

bit more expensive than a 2nd hand virus is it better?

It shouldn't be that much more expensive as a new slim phatty is cheaper than a new virus but then again you might be looking at an old model of virus.

It's completely different so hard to say one's better than the other. A virus is a digital synth whereas a moog is completely analog. You get more features with the virus but the moog has a lot more character. I'd personally much rather have a moog but that could just be because it fits what I make. I'd certainly give it a look.
