what a disappointing choice for the vinyl....
Audio - Combust - not bad
Calyx & TeeBee - Wipeout - sounds like every other C&T tune
DC Breaks - Shaman VIP - no better than the original
Loadstar - Under Pressure VIP - no better than the original (and the original wasn't that great, not a bad flip to Stepped Outside though)
Rene LaVice - Pipe - cool little roller, I like
Frankee - Excalibur - a little bland compared to Frankee's latest stuff but not too bad
so really only Combust and Pipe I would have personally put on the vinyl from what is going on there. Seems like a bit of a wasted opportunity to get some nice rolly stuff and some steppers onto some Ram wax, and seems like the tunes for the vinyl almost got picked by the artists as opposed to the tunes themselves.
from a VERY QUICK flick through, what about:
Chroma - So Alone VIP - cool little update, something different
Freek - Cobalt 60 - stepper!!
Gerra & Stone - Running Back - nice liquid tune
June Miller - Reach Out Feat. MVE - this is better from JM
Logam & Mayhem - We Will Feat. Armanni Reign - pretty big
Loko - Hold You Tight - nice bit of liquid too
Mind Vortex - Megabyte - actually like this, has a touch of old Pendulum to it
Mob Tactics - Wolf Trap VIP - ARGH NO MOB TACTICS GETS PRESSED!!!
Phil Tangent - Affinity - PT can do no wrong
Stealth & Kodan - Daylight - nice tune!!
Teddy Killerz - Higher Ground Feat. Pat Fulgoni - evil shit
Urbandawn - Lift Me Feat. Thomas Oliver - FINALLY! Been hearing Thomas play this for quite a while. Not sure about the final mixdown (liked the older versions better), but is still a cool tune
Hate to hate, and I love how Ram keep bringing the goods with the wax (and the packaging looks AWESOME). I just wish there was a bit more thought into taking opportunities on releases like this, kind of like ProgRam seem to do with their releases....
