to anyone interested on orchestral composition and arranging

I have no idea how the principles translate to dnb, but a big mine there.
I'm just starting to learn the rules of counterpoint. Have you got any good resources for that?

I guess that everything there can be translated to dnb production, if you consider that the point of orchestration shown on the book is to blend different timbres and textures to "fool" human ear to believe it's just one sound, you know? you can view this as many layering techniques we already know. I'm reading it, though, to incorporate orchestral passages into my dnb productions.

About counterpoint, all i have is this:

Don't really understand some of the terms in that "canon" and "fugue"

They're just subgenres from about 400 years ago, back when subgenres had actual rules to define them. The articles are about what the rules are.

Exactly. And those rules are applied until today, regarding orchestral compositions and arranging. I guess some of these rules can be used to any genre, not only classical music.
