Using Sony Acid Studio. Is it worth my time?

So I've been using Acid studio for a few months now and have run into a few issues with my Midi connection and EQ levels.

What is a better DAW that is affordable?

To be honest...any DAW is better than ACID. If you want affordable, check out Reaper or the lower end of Studio One.
