Places to host your music

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned tindeck.com

It's quick, easy, and the quality isn't messed with at all. They also give you a cool little image to embed in forums and whatnot.

Re: [ Places to host your music ]

nice find :2thumbs: some damned cheap webspace there

I use a webhost service from Hosting2go.nl

2,5 Gb of storage, 30 Gb data traffic each month.
28,56 euro's a year!

And the servers are always working.

I use Mediafire:http://www.mediafire.com/ and Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/
Dropbox is really, really awesome, it let's you have separate folders on the harddrive of computer which are synced with a folder online, you can also share these folders, soo good for collabs, when i edit a project file in that folder it automatically also changes it in the folder on the computer of the person i'm collabing with sooo goood

F***** soundcloud not letting me update a track. I made a few changes to a mix and now it says I need a premium membership just to update my track! I'm fine with the upload limits, but why charge for something as basic as replacing an audio file? The old one would be deleted. It's not like it would take up anymore space.

In an effort to help you guys (and girls?) easily find sites and services that will host your music for as little as possible, please post direct links to the homepage of any site you've found of some use in the past.

I'll start the proceedings:
Thank you for your contributions in advance.

WETRANSFER.COM

You guys should check out herethis.at. It is similar to soundcloud, only has stacks more features. I started using it when soundcloud removed groups. One of the key features that stands out for me, is the ability to browse music by genre and sub genre.
They also have groups and many other features.

Oh, you can also import all your tunes directly from soundcloud, so if you decide to make an account, it doesn't take ages to set up.
