Styles

Types
I like all types of DNB, but I only play dark and heavy. I'm a big fan of amen / tramen breaks too! I'll also make exceptions for anthems like 'Shake Ur Body' etc. As they are pure crowd pleasers :D

Too many to list really, but main ones are

Structure / Radius / Second strike (Hazard and co's labels)
Reinforced
CIA / Advanced / Function
Cylon / Outbreak
Poison
Nu - Urban
East Side
True Playaz / Global Frontline etc

Generally tho I like to just buy a bit of allsorts, and lots of obscure promos and stuff. My tastes change weekly, I tend to say order a lot of oldskool style stuff, then a lot of jazzy, the next week then a lot of tech, then some with the big amens and stuff another week.

I like the dark stuff and jump up.

Jump Up:

Urban Takeover, Prisoners of Technology, True Playaz (hype & zinc...pascal I'm not too keen on) and the occasional Ganja Kru, Dread, Ed Rush, Doc Scott tracks.

The dark stuff has to be getting better IMO.

Renegade Hardware, 1210, Ram, Cylon, Liftin' Spirits, Virus, Undiluted, eMotif, Moving Shadow, Posion, Underfire

Artists: USUAL SUSPECTS! Cause 4 Concern, Dylan, Loxy, Ink, Digital, Andy C, Ed Rush, Brockie!, Rascal & Klone, Calyx, D-Kay, Dom & Keaton, Stakka & Skynet, Kemal & Rob Data

tramen is the name of the drum loop originally invented by Trace. I think it's an "Amen" break (from Amen Brother) mixed with the "Tighten Up" break, plus a little extra secret ingredient... TR(ace)AMEN ---- gettit...
Check out almost all of Trace's tunes if you want to hear what it sounds like.

Or check out: http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~henninl/homemade_firefight.mp3 for an example of a home-made effort by someone on the Drum & Bass Arena Discussion Board.

PLUS check out my tunes: http://www.electronicscene.com/studioviper
...blatant plug... :D

thanks.. i ever thought it's a usual kind (or variation) of amen, even i heard it in other tracks than just the trace's ones.. but i love that break much, but classic amen is my favourite :) and amen brother is cool too.. the winstons drummer must be crazy :D
