    KRONIX - Lighting Fires

I'm well on the road to recovery from my writers block now. Churned this out in the last couple of days.

It's dubstep, but not screeching, ear piercing stuff, this is a lot more "Underground". Tell me your thought's?....

    Some nice things here.
IMO bass lack a bit of definition.
    Really like the atmosphere.
    Keep it up.

Not usually keen on dubstep but liked this one

Everything sits nicely in the mix

That beat pattern is pretty rigid, a few more kicks here and there might be cool

And some delay or reverb on the vocal could be good too

    Good tune tho mate!

    Wow reminds me of skream!

The bass in nice. Maybe a little more bass?

More drum variation would spice it up a bit.

Overall pretty awesome tune you got!

    Yo.

Was writting that you need some more bass in my first post too, then i bring the volume up a bit.
You definitely have enough bass, but it's a bit foggy, i don't know how to say it.
Your track rely so heavily on the bass, i think it should be more precise, more cut.
Maybe open a bit your filter? let some higher content, it will probably give you this definition i'm talking about. care about the spacialisation of the bass too. The more wide it is the less clear it will be IMO.
You could maybe do a little something on your snare too, some verb or spatialisation, i don't really know but it seems a bit dry.
I would bring the vocals up too. They are quite cool and i would use it louder on the drop.

    Chill

    Not bad dude

For sure think there is enough bass! I am talking about Sub, I assume thats what the guys meant?

Terribly sorry but that snare really ain't my thing. Possibly a bit to dry, or maybe I am just not feeling it or something dunno

    plus get those hats shuffling!

    Re: KRONIX - Lighting Fires

I really like this one. Proper dubstep.

The bass sounds quite nice but I would a little bit of character to it.
I would recommend some reverb with the snare because they sound a little bit harsh (maybe it's just me who thinks this dunno)
But overall it is a really good good track

    Re: KRONIX - Lighting Fires

nice track, more kick instead of a standard dubstep pattern imo, maybe a less harder hitting kick for that tho.... i like it apart form the the beat, which gets a bit samey! nice bass

    Re: KRONIX - Lighting Fires

    I disagree with almost everyone.
The bass evolves through out the song and becomes a wobble at times. I for one like the long standing sub. It has some rumble to it. The foundation on witch the rest of the track sit, swoosh and wobbles from. The snare is just fine. In other tracks of similar nature I think I'm ore used to hearing a gun shot snare. And I don't always like them. Snare sounds fine to me at fits just fine. Only critique I have is I wish the song would open up a bit more to a bouncy flow. Could be accomplished through drum or bass rearrangement but that is only opinion. Another great song Mr. Fletch.

    Re: KRONIX - Lighting Fires

Not feeling the white noise tail on the snare - probably would flow better with a clap tail, plus you need a reverse clap or something to get a 'sucking' effect into each snare hit to give it more energy. You could also work on the wobs a bit - maybe more filter automation variety with speed changes, its a bit dull as is. Could also do with more percussion shuffles and more ambient non-melodic pads or fx in background.
