To be honest they have gone up in my books recently, they have recalled all the first gen ipod nanos due to a fault with the batteries causing fires, I waited a few months to do mine and looked online recently and found out they had run out of parts and replacements of the first gen, they had expected 30,000 or so but have received over a million and have had to replace them with the 6th gen nano, 8gb too, I sent mine of and in a week I had my new one, I'm not complaining
