The sub that we so often see from Dub Phizix and Skeptical in Marka, Run It Like The President and Never Been Ft Fox what does everyone think it is? It can't be a pure sub because it sounds dark and moves (like a pure organic reese), is it a reese that has filter automation on it or something? It sounds so dark and just moves up and down lazily, what does everyone think it is and how it has been processed to get that slow moving peice of fucking darkness perfection haha!

It's definitely sidechained hugely to the kick.

i wonder this too, usually you find people might send thier sub to a bus send and apply subtle effects also to give it a warmer sound.

they kinda give away the technique in never been.
Sounds like its just a unisoned or a couple of detuned square waves maybe some distortion just make sure its low passed and maybe cut the sub and stick like an 808 there, have a play with that you can get it sounding close, deffo a detuned square wave tho.

laying squares over a sub then adding distortion/ chorus etc and then low passing. side chain it to your kick. that would be a good place to start. also having subtle modulation on the filter to give it a bit of life maybe.
