    A question about Logics limiters

    Whats the difference?

I mean surely, there wouldn't be that much of a point to put 2 limiters that do the same thing in the same daw so one of em must be better at something and vice versa.

Im just curious witch I should use for what ^^

I read through Logics effects and plugins .pdf manual the other day, helped me so much. The difference is the standard limiter just chops the peaks like a standard limiter whereas the adaptive limiter actually smooths and rounds the peaks. I guess so distortion from clipping doesn't happen so soon. Hope that makes sense. I'll see if I can find the PDF.

    Here you go.

That's cool. I'm glad I'm getting to a level where I can start putting back into this forum.

That manual helped so much as it describes each plug-in in depth so it saves on the trial and error part of it all.
    BO!

Re: A question about Logics limiters

AdLimiter is suitable for mastering purposes. It introduces quite a bit of latency, so you should avoid using it while doing any recordings (ex. MIDI keys).

    Cheers.
