    Re: trying to stop smoking.

Im lucky to live in sweden, we got this thing called snus.. its like a bag of nicotine flavored with salts and some other stuffs. It doesn't damage your lungs, I coughed a lot when I was smoking. And the best of all is that you don't have to go outside when it rains or is freezing cold.

...still gives you cancer, but its much harder to get.

i stopped smoking just before the smoking ban. it was almost like i caused that ban with my mind.

to be fair it just led to harder things though.

thank fuck they haven't imposed a heroin ban on pubs yet.

yeah thats your lungs cleaning themselves from all the shit I suppose, had the same thing. lasted a couple of months. nicotine paralyses little hairs in your lungs so all that crap keeps sticking there. hence when you quit, they start working again and clean all the stuff out.
OT: Yeah, quitting smoking sucks. I used to love smoking, but its just the most addictive and uninspirational drug in the world, very pointless. Just don't continue to smoke weed rolled with baccy after you quit, will just make you smoke joints in great quantities and you'll never get off that crap.

    Re: trying to stop smoking.

I quited once during a year or so. Came back for stupid reasons.

Anyway, when you want to smoke, drink water. After every meals, brush your teeth immediately. The holly after meal cig is not as good after brushing. It will cut your need (slightly).
Move your fat ass. Sport, especially cardio disgust you from smoking. Plus seing your improvements as you keep being smoke free will help you keep it up.
Sugar free sweets can be helpfull sometimes. Care not to turn in a fat pig by choosing your substitutes wisely.
Try to eat nice food, care more about what you eat. Coupled with sport, it will prevent your from getting fat which could discourage you. Try to get a whole healthy life around, can help setting a new lifestyle start.
Eat healthy stuff, do sport, sleep well, learn to read, stop fcking your relatives.

The hardest part is when you come to go out with your friends and smokers in general.
The main problem with real smokers is that their lifes are ponctuated by cigarettes. Every one of them mark the end of an event a deed or whatever. It's mainly psychologic but you organize ALL your life around cig.
Thus the hardest part is to restructurate your whole life without it.
Long story short, you need to do the same things you used to do, without cig.
If you prevent you from going out for 2 months because you stopped somking, chances are that at your first night out, you will take one and break 2 months of very hard work.
Restructurate your daily life without it from the very beginning. Do normal stuff and tank the craving, learn your new life.

Best advice i can give i guess: convince yourself you dont need it.
If you repeat yourself every time you are craving that you dont need a cig, it will help. Can seems stupid but it's a whole state of mind.
You are a strong badass motherfucker, you don't need this shit.
You are craving, you are angry, you are the fcking hulk? Use this energy to do things.
Think about something else every time cig cross your mind. Do it really on purpose.

Get yourself busy. Find something to do during the old cig breaks. a little videogame, a sweet, pushups, phonecalls, music, work more...Whatever floats your boat.

Btw, last time i stopped for some weeks, i can tell you that the first cig you take after is 1) disgusting 2) it doesn't cut your need of cig. Most frustrating shit ever.
But this experience could help you not to take one ever again. Taking one will be shit. It wont taste good and wont release the tension from craving. Trust me.

Last thing my former experience taught me:

    -3 weeks of nightmare
    -3 hard months

The craving will go out slightly every day. Force you not to think about it and it will go quicker.
After that you won't think about it anymore.

I really need to stop too. Health & wealth...
Maybe will you motivate me for a group stoping.

Don't give up. It worth it. Really.

    Motivation?

I never had so much cash!
It was like i didn't even know what to do with my money...

i fail to comprehend your logic here.
use the same amount of weed in a smaller joint?

will still get you just as stoned.

    Re: trying to stop smoking.

the logic behind it is, i put backy in my joints to fill them out which adds to the addiction, dont really smoke unless its a joint (probably should of said that ) ergo if i had enough money to smoke when i want and how much i want, tobacco would be out of my life.
