Exclamation Scrapped - From Left Field. 1st DRUM & BASS TUNE EVER!(Dark DnB)

    Hey Guys,

Well it looks like the bug has finally taken over. This is officially my first ever drum and bass tune!
I have been producing for a really short while(months) so it isn't anything amazing but I would love your feedback!

Even if you absolutely think its terrible let me know I am completely open to criticism and appreciate the comments from those that tell it like it is. I'm keen to learn!

Most sounds were made through reaktor when it came to the sound design

For a first dnb tune, this is pretty good. The drums could use some more variation. I as well can't comment on the mix down because I'm listening to this on a pair of blown out headphones because it's late at night and using my monitors would get me yelled at.
Your sound design is pretty cool. Is that Skanner I hear?

    Honest feedback:

absolutely love the atmosphere you're going for with those drums and the deep bassline. I think the snare is coming through on the high end a bit much, and I feel your synths could maybe be brought out in the mids a bit more?

Listened to it on my monitors and the snare's high end seems like my biggest issue, but overall its a pretty good tune dude

Thanks Makrodan for your feedback man. I really appreciate it guys!

I understand, I really found my drums to be the hardest part when it came to the production. Also lol on the headphones, I know the feeling.

Also: Damn you are on the money. Yea, it is skanner in just the intro/first section. It has alot of processing and I spent an incredibly large amount of time trying to it to get the dark vibe I wanted. Great ear!

Ah yea, Once I played it back a few times after I posted it online I know what you mean. Especially in the 2nd section!

Fair enough when it comes to the synths. I eq'd quite a tone and really brought out the highs while cutting the low-mid section so that could have been the reason.

Thanks bro! I really appreciate it
