Old school sounding stab in defcom 69 (metal headz)

Anyone have any ideas on how to create that old school stab sound in defcom 69 by total science? It's in the build up before the main drop, it's the 3 short stabs which is then followed by a reesey sounding bass.

    Cheers!

It's odd, it almost sounds like there is a high-hat in there too. Ive tried experimenting with some triangle and square waves, de-tuning them, adding a filter, distort and then reverb but I can't get it to sound right.

It could be because further on in the song, it has a couple of stabs in a lower pitch which sounds slightly more hoovery.

I'll have a play again tonight and experiment with pitched up hoovers, see how close I can get.

    Cheers
