I was thinking this aswell that sonic boom was heard over such a large distance .

Also there was a small earthquake that happened in lettaceshire at the exact same time as the sonic boom. That's most likely a coincidence though.

i thought that a standard jets sonic boom wouldnt create THAT much commotion... and then the milatary are like 'boom', dunno lol, few hours later, 'oh yeah, jet'... something badder in testing imo

Turns out it was 2 jets scrambled after a ex military helicopter sent out a distress signal by accident and the military thought it was a hijack.

I know but those jets went from brise norton to bath which would explain a sonic boom being heard around the south west area . But up in midlands people were complaining about the sonic boom saying there houses were shaking. I guess I'm about to run out of tin foil so I best head to the shops QuickTime.

the reason it was so loud/affected a huge distance was because it was flying very low. Jets rarely make sonic booms over land, only reason it did was because it was responding to an emergency. Concordes were only ever allowed to break the sound barrier once out at sea.
