but according to Russian & Chinese news, there are armed mecenaries funed by nato pretty much that are killing at random, and the Syrian army are trying to help, with the aid of Russia.

Furthermore, a conflict with Turkey would help bypass the UN Security Council, where Russia can block any attempt to intervene into Syria, he notes. NATO principles say that attacking one NATO member means attacking the whole bloc, and retaliation would be proportional to this rule.

In fairness you don't tell us her background or what her relations to the 'good guys' are. Don't get me wrong being portrayed as good or bad in the media does often depend on which way the wind's blowing however...the shit hit the fan for a lot of middle eastern despots last year and something similar's clearly happening here. This looks like a regime that really doesn't want to let go. Also Russia & China were the only two members of the UN Security Council to use their veteo last week to stop the UN condemning Assad and co. Please don't tell me you'd take their side on anything surely?

No one's getting upset Castel. This is not about the international arms trade. I was just showing that the Russians have a lot of money tied up in Syria and don't want to watch it go down the pan. They're basically the only country that still supports Assad. Your opening post referred to what the Russian and Chinese news services were saying as if they arent two of the most unreliable news sources you can get.

And please don't wheel out platitudes about everything on the internet potentially being made up. Try googling 'Russian assets in Syria' to check out the wealth of information that's out there from lots of different sources. Then use your reason to weigh up and evaluate that information.

ive read various articles about syria on bbc, fox, rt & al jazeera, all of them have different stories. and the most beleivble (imo) is the russian website. non of them are reliable.

im pretty sure no journalists are aloud into syria, so no-one really knows whats going on..
