Me and a couple of mates are planning a roadtrip through europe this summer and we also want to go to a bunch of festivals.

One of our festivals on the list is Beatpatrol, in Austria. Went there last year and its crazyyyyyyy!

Which other festivals should we hit up?

Post 'em up!

CHEERS!

Boomtown hands down. You know a festival is good when even the burger vans are rinsing out classic jungle!

is boomtown really that good for dnb? surely not compared to outlook or something.........

Let It Roll Open Air in Czech Republic. It's really cheap for any foreigners (compared to any other European festival), this year's lineup is proper sick too (Critical stage on Friday night, Neosignal takes it over for Saturday plus main stage filled with some mainstream shizzle like Loadstar, C&K live, DJ Fresh and such).

Ah well if you are thinking abroad then I can recommend sun and bass in Sardinia. Wicked friendly vibes and always a ridiculous lineup. The only problem with these euro festivals are that fuuck do they jack the prices up for everything. Outlook has the best lineup in my opinion but can't deal with the prices. Boomtown is the best uk festival for me. Krinjah jacky murda aires general levvy Marcus visionary serial killaz dirtyphonics shy fx serum ratpack Hype sl2 dub phizix and I love the unknown artists that play in all the random tents all over the place. Very fond memories of kenny ken mc det and the ragga twins at the boom box stage last year. It's also the only festival this year that isn't completely ridiculously priced.

You expect that tho to be honest. Group of mates got a villa outside outlook last year, said it worked out well cheap compared to any uk festival once they were there. Got the shitty english climate to tustle with aswell when you book a Uk'er. Reckon abroad is the way forward.

yep, not bad for £20!

thanks for all mates! Let It Roll looks sick, although the line-up looks like it will attract a bunch of wannabe-dubstep cunts ('Lets go to LET IT ROLL! Line up consists (only) of flux pavillon, dirtyphonics, caspa and camo and krooked.' -_-).

Although in Czech the people might be more chilled. 20quid is appetizing aswell.

Cheers!

Nah mate, dubstep stage was half-way empty last year all the time, most of the people are going there because of drum and bass, and to be honest at least half of them prefers the smaller stage (last year it was Shogun Audio on Friday, Therapy on Saturday night). You can also get VIP for like 50 quid (cheaper drinks, extra chill-out stage, no queues, nearest camping site) :)

alright! sounds sweet. did u get vip last year?

in austria theres also the global2000 which is held in an nuclear power plant that never got activated with a viper/audioporn stage; also urban art forms which is probably the biggest but also the most mainstream one (hospital stage buuuuuh, but there is also stuff like noisia and phace & misanthrop)
First one is around 50 for 3 days, second one around 90

Maybe I'll go to czech too this year, this festival sounds fucking nice :o

I wish I and my friends could afford let it roll. How much are flights and accomo and shit?

Dunno about flight tickets tbh, but I reckon it can be pretty cheap if booked in advance (if I wanted to fly from Prague to London later this year, I can get a one-way ticket for about 30 quid approximately). Accomodation - dunno how much would it be this year for the camp, but with VIP tickets you pay nothing extra. I'm not sure, if there's any hotel or villas around, but cheaper hotels are usually about 10 quid a night. Speaking of drinks, it's damn cheap in here, you get 0,5 litres of beer for 1 quid, shots for 1-2 quid depending on what you drink, non-alcoholic shit is around 1 quid for 0,33 bottle usually...food prices vary very much depending on what you eat, but a solid meal is about 4-7 quid let's say. All those prices are based on current exchange rate, so they can differ a bit 3 months later you know :)
