So, just looked at twitter and it seems that Guy is leaving Commix to go solo, and that George is carrying it on by himself...

Sooo.. Just played Fabric. To anyone who came along, that was my last ever set as Commix. From now on George will be carrying on solo.

Also, huge love to @MRGOLDIE & @chrismdz for your patience, support and understanding. X

Edit: The next album will be under the 'CMX Project' name and then George will change the name afterwards, so it seems that Commix is essentially finished.

Thats too bad, they are very big. But leaving the dnb scene and splitting ways... A sad day indeed.

Sad days, Commix were proper versatile producers with tunes like Satellite Type 2 and Painted Smile :lighter:

Lunar Bass remix, one of the best basslines ever.

Wonder which one's the better producer?

Yeah that's what I read but seems like they are properly splitting. Real sad, commix are brilliant. They had 3 members at one point didn't they?!?

yeah there was...

Wikipedia said:
Based in Cambridge, Commix originally comprised George Levings, Guy Brewer and Conrad Whittle.[2] As a DJ/production team, they began working together in 2002 and the trio released a series of 12-inch singles on the Aquasonic, Tangent Recordings, Good Looking Records, Creative Source and Brand.nu labels, with notable tracks including 2003's "Feel Something", and 2004's "Herbie" and "Surround".[2] After Whittle's departure, Commix was signed to Goldie's label Metalheadz in 2005. The trio met when they were at an international pokemon competition.

:D

Ok, if i understand this correctly, by the looks of it George is going to play out the rest of the shows that 'Commix' are/were/is booked for, then after that he'll be starting work on a new album as 'CMX Project', so essentially if you want to see 'Commix' before it is properly no more then see him very soon/asap!? hopefully they split on good terms and will get back together in the future... and also at least they left us with two very great albums and a solid discography that anyone would be proud of...
