Your oldskool tune of the day

Bad azz thread peeps!

Hope you all don't mind some Breakbeats cause that's my Old School and I could probably share some stuff you'd like. My Old School is from about 1987 - 1994.

This one was HUGE back in the day.

The poster of that video has 1998 for the release date on that. Got me thinking now, I know that's got to be older than that, but can't find anything on the German group "Envelope" at all online. I would have guessed about 87-89 something like that. That must be the date of that particular extended mix.

OK, so here is the deal. That tune is Electronic Love by Freestyle Project http://www.discogs.com/artist/157494-Freestyle-Project

featuring Envelope http://www.discogs.com/artist/9072-Envelope

EDIT - The tune was released both under Envelope - http://www.discogs.com/Envelope-Electronic-Love/master/164338 - who is one half of Freestyle Project and on the album "Free Styling" of Freestyle Project http://www.discogs.com/Freestyle-Project-Free-Styling/release/1420889 - where Envelope is a part of :teeth:

And yes, the year is indeed 1998. That kinda sound was quite..not popular..but..known. Freestylers, Westbam (mostly with Afrika Islam) and other germans played this stuff but quickly returned to 4x4.

Funny thing that I just discovered myself is that Envelope alias Franz Merwald did some proper Hardtrance anthems back in the day under the "Code" and "Loving Loop" aliases. Interesting.

I didn't go aaaaaall the way back to 94 with that one. Not sure of the date but it's about ten maybe. Another Florida Bass track right there though.

As far as rare and unheard of goes here's one I'd be extremely surprised if someone says they've heard this before. An old friend of mine found this somehow and used to scare the shit out of me on the dancefloor. Not really but it sounded good...lol. This is a wild track for sure.

Straight outta London. Just noticed that. Maybe someone here has heard it before actually.

If there was ever a tune that ruled its one year, its this, no one would get this tune anymore, but in the day it ruled supreme.

Just downed it, I prefer Brisk to the other usual suspects because he goes in more upfront and throws in a wee bit of dutch stuff aswell, nice one for the hint!
