Nestle has signed up four comedians to front a new campaign for Kit Kat, the Kit Kat Chunky Champion.
As part of the promotion, consumers will be asked to vote for their favourite from four new flavours, with the eventual winner being added to the Kit-Kat line-up permanently. One voter a day will win £100.
Each of the new flavours is being promoted by a comedian. Kit Kat Chunky Orange is supported by Miles Jupp, from Balamory, In The Thick Of It and Rev. Kit Kat Chunky White Choc is supported by Tony Gardner, from in The Thick Of It and Lead Balloon. Kit Kat Chunky Double Choc is supported by Miranda Hennessey, from Phone Shop. Finally, Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter is supported by Jason Lewis, star of his own MTV show, The Jason Lewis Experience.
The public will choose the winner by voting on Kit Kat’s Facebook page,
www.facebook.com/kitkatuk, with the flavour with the most votes by 24 February 2012 winning. Every voter will be entered into a free prize draw for £100, with one draw a day for 30 days.
Consumers will also be able to scan posters for the campaign using the Blippar Augmented Reality app, which will allow them to vote via their mobiles.
It is also understood that the campaign will involve ‘geofencing’, with consumers who sign up being alerted when they get within a certain distance of a store stocking the products.
The voting element of the competition starts on January 16 2012, while the four flavours will be on shelf from 23 January 2012.
