High Contrast's new album - The Agony And The Ecstacy

Listening to the preview I'm actually pleasantly surprised. It's definitely no True Colours but I was expecting it all to be a lot like "The First Note is Silent" and the title track. Though when your expectations are as low as "The First Note is Silent" it's pretty easy to be impressed. :teeth:

Lol at them not editing this out of the press release:

"*RADIO: In house national, regional and international campaign from Hospital. Targeting across the board support at Radio One and 1xtra, playlist on singles + daytime and specialist editorial support, guest appearances etc."

liquids losing it... its too clean and precision now, i miss illegal samples, muddy breaks and massive sub bass :(

There are still people out there making excellent liquid

Check out Command Strange, a young kid from Kazakhstan. He is releasing the best liquid around at the moment alongside Calibre

Such a dissapointing release in every sense of the word. Wouldnt even take this if it was free tbh

don't forget his sidekick intelligent manners http://www.discogs.com/artist/Intelligent+Manners, another very talented artist that has lately had a string of great releases, check out this one http://www.discogs.com/Intelligent-Manners-Everybody-Knows-EP/master/368968

might also be worth checking out phyiscal illusion, tim cant, mutt, fanu, scott allen, incident, derrick & tonika, grimm, roygreen & protone, flame (lately had some great liquid), duoscience ,etc

quite a lot of excellent liquid still coming out

I believe my friend Dave Owen fits that bill rather well.

Dave Owen still deep inna liquid. big tune.

back on topic...from what I've listened to so far, this album is not a patch on True Colours or High Society.

Vinyl, Cd & Sampler all available to pre order here. the sampler def worth grabbing, even if your not feeling the album..
lol

listening to this again I'm absolutely convinced track E is an attempt at trolling. just listen to it, what the heck is that synth/flute melody line over the top , sounds like an eight yr old's made it
