After getting the unreleased dubplate "The Guiness Track" from the Dave Charlesworth website I felt I had enough good stuff and the desire to do a LTJBukem & MC Conrad & Ribbs @ Dreamscape 1994 tribute set. I don't have most of the tunes from that set but I really like the vibe of it yet I CANT STAND Conrads annoying babbling stupid shit like "And the ladies shake their hips" and "Do you like this sound". I'm sure if your all F'ed up and at the actual event you may not notice how obnoxous this MC shit is however when your listening to this set in the car with you mom and she says "why is he giving the crowd dance lessons" it can be really irritating! To add to this the MC mic volume was turned up higher then the music.

So hopefully this set is a remedy to those who liked that Dreamscape set but didn't like the MCing or the poor sound quality. The set starts off really chill but by the time you get to the middle you should be doing some Jersey Shore style fist pumping when the amens make their presense known. When I saw LTJ at Ultraworlds "Ritual" party he mixed his set in a way so that not one amen track came in till the end which added a nice drama to his presentation. When mixing atmospheric jungle I always try to do the same.

N-JOI!

Hey 1992 my first post here. Great set, some top tunes. Let it Roll and The Bell Tune are personal faves.

There used to be a dedicated thread to Bukems Dreamscape 10 set here that I was going to comment on but, it's disappeared so I may as well comment here.

I was at the event that night at the sanctury. Whilst the set is fucking masterful, it truely is, on the night near enough the whole arena has stopped dancing or sat down by the end of the second tune. A weird sight and something that I hadn't experienced at a party before. I have to admit the set did bore at the time and brought everyone down. I remember buying the tape pack when it came out and specifically playing the bukem set and thinking why the fuck did the place come down to this, it's amazing, and still is imo. It might explain why Conrad is such an arse and why ribbzy came in to it. I can only think the timing of the set was all wrong on the night. It was in a mid slot at the height of the night about 1 or 2 oclock when everyone's buzzing their tits off to the previous hardcore DJ. I can't remember who it was. For me, even though it's a wonderful set it was poorly timed. Bukem didn't deserve that reaction to such a great set. Clarkee followed bukem and ripped the place apart with some gabba shit and I have never rushed so hard in my life!! Probably the only time I have ever enjoyed a hard tekno set. A strange situation as Dreamscape crowds were always well into the DnB / Jungle. True story, I do wonder if anyone else was there and can share the same experience?

makes me sooo insanely happy there's a whole 92 series of threads here! :) i like this forum...

the links are both dead though :(
