I havent got Serato as of yet but just a quick one...

I did read you can record your mixes via Serato but will this only count for my turntables?

Basically i will be running the vinyl format with the software but also have a cd deck that i will want to run normal cd's on so as to do 3 deck mixes but am worried this wont come thru on a recording as the cd deck wont need to be put into the hardware like the technics

Anyone know if it does/doesnt effect what im looking to do?

Thanks

You can record on Serato using the aux input on the box. However this limits you to only two decks/cdj.

You can record using vinyl or cdj- sl3 has individual switches on the box for each channel to flick between phono(vinyl) or line(cdj) input.

Using a cdj as a third track would be fine if you are using normal CDs rather than to control sl.

Yeh basically you wont be able to record the cdj thru the box as you said. Just use the record out.
