Was asked if you can do the classic "timestretch" effect with Ableton Live. Answer is: easily!
Just assign Velocity to Sample Offset under the Midi tab in Sampler (also best to set Vol<Vel to 0% under Filter/Global then). Works best with 1–2 bar breaks, I've found (it is relative, though, but gets tricky and less precise if you have a longer beat). Add some pitch mod and filter sweeps to that...instant oldskool!
