Neuro DNB Blandness

I come from producing Complextro, so I don't know if this is a remnant of that or not:
All of the Neuro Dnb I've been producing sounds very very generic and samey, with a extreme lack of variation.
However, I switch between 10-20 different neuro-ish basses within each 4 bars, with my 32 bar long drop going through about 60 different basses.
Does anyone else have this problem or a way to solve it?

How to combind a Skillex Sound and NetSky bass. We will call it Skylex or Skil-Net.

Been about six months. Hows everybody doing?
Life has been more than busy on my end, but summer is here and I am able to make tracks again. Also, has anybody been keeping up with the dnb forum's producer mix? If not shame to all!

its a really helpful plug in for eerie manipulation for your sounds and FX. Ive found this tool to be really effective on pitching down vocals!

Came across this rather interesting looking plugin claiming to "...cleverly creates space or room in a mix for any instrument, voice, or other audio source by performing automatic, multi-band equalisation on a per track basis."

I'm skeptical, but for an intro price of $39 I'm going to give it a shot and will report back my findings.

If anyone on the forum owns this feel free to drop some feedback below.

Installing DAW to external hard drive?

Hi all

Quick question really, Google search isn't really helping.

What it is, I have reason 5 installed on my C drive as normal, works ok but if i ever get to mix down stage with all channels going then my little pc "computer too slow" etc etc..

Im getting a ram upgrade, 4gb - 8gb perhaps.
Also id like the option of using reason rewired through cubase - trouble is my C drive is not large enough to install both reason and cubase.

So...first thought would be, install cubase on to an external usb/firewire hard drive and plug and play sort of thing.
Is it possible? why isn't it possible? do I just simply need to fork out for a new setup or mac with huge amounts of space?

WARNING DOn't Intall New iLok Software

Personally, I never use any product that requires iLok or other dongle. While browsing the interwebs I stumbled across this. Here's a direct link to the manufacturer.

In a nutshell, a large number of users lost certain license permissions when updated to the new software. Again, I don't use iLok, but this is a heads up for those of you who do.

bouncing audio

am sure you have seen the lomax and example tutorial video on youtube and where they keep bouncing everything for further processing i understand why you would do that but what i dont get is
when they bounce a part do they go back to the same project and delete what they have just done and add the bounced audio, or do they start new project then add all the bounced parts separately like building the tune again ????
someone clear this up for me............please

Easy everyone,

I had an interesting discussion with a mate this week
He thinks that if you really like the composition of one of your tunes you should spend a lot of time into it and should try to fix every little detail
But imo it's not really useful to go like that, because I think you should try to get your tunes done as fast as you can because i made the experience that if I spend too much time on a tune, I end up with being not happy because I'm in a different state of knowledge about mixdown and writing tunes as I was in the beginning...

So what do you think? :hagglers:

so iv read that your meant to have your kicks and snares hitting 0 db, but even when i have everything else in my track at really low levels my master is already clipping with just two kick drums hitting zero?? does it even matter if my master is going into red if all my individual elements arnt clipping? should i just leave my kick and snare at zero mix everything around it then pull everything down so its not clipping at the end? im confused as fuck right now

Just if someone has money to put into a cool sound editor/design sw
