Paul C is a New York City Irish DJ / Promoter / Producer with non stop residencies since he exploded on the scene with the legendary Jungle Nation series in '95 which was the first Saturday night D & B Weekly in the metropolis. With a deep, diverse musical background, Paul currently holds down 5 residencies including Konkrete Jungle since '96 & mixed music gigs in the West Village, Midtown & Meatpacking districts & his own Funked Dub party in the Lower East Side.

Raised by his Dad, Paul started selecting at his own & then friends House parties at a very young age & hanging out with his radio DJ neighbour. House music was taking off when he landed his first residency in the south of Spain at 17 years of age. Paul went on to DJ for 2 seasons in the Canary Islands at 19 & attended his first rave there. In Dublin he went to Judge Roy Beans & Sides Dance Club every week where he worked the lights and helped run bus trips of 60 + Ravers to Cork clubs & raves.

Paul was soon asked to become resident at a House night called Kennel Club @ the Rock Garden's Gardening Club on Crown Alley in Temple Bar. Friends with Thomas Ryan Jungle Nation promoter & DJ Dara at this stage, Paul secured another night at the same venue but with a more Techno & Breakbeat edge for the crew, called Vision. Paul then moved to & played one of the first Jungle / D & B sets in San Francisco, 10 months later, he moved to New York City & has played to a dancefloor every week & more since.

DJ Paul C has played in places like England, Spain, Canada, Puerto Rico, Ireland & more including Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Boston & Washington DC, as well as helping launch & working at America's first Drum & Bass store Breakbeat Science and being a regular guest at Camouflage & Direct Drive. Playing on world class soundsystems such as Club Space, Club Love, Santos Party House, Sullivan Room & MoMa's PS One, this DJ has received accolades in Mixer, Trace, Vogue, Rough guide to D & B, Dogs on Acid & more.

I've been stuck at home all week with a nasty chest infection, and for some unknown reason have started watching deal or no deal on channel 4. I'm just curious if anyone's here has actually tried applying to go on the show?

I think it's cool cos you aint gotta be a fuckin rocket scientist for a chance to win a few grand! I'm seriously considering applying for it, chances are I wont get through, but still, gotta be worth a try huh? Think of the studio equipment I could buy if I got on there and took away a few thousand?!?! Knowing my luck tho, I'll end being greedy and walking away with �5 or worse stil......1p!!

I really enjoy doing this and get a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside whenever I know it's helped someone out. A real sense of satisfaction. And if I can share what I've learnt over the last few years then why the fuck not eh?

Plus, my actual production activity has taken another nose dive recently back into the world of writers block, so doing these helps with my creativity too!

So......if anyone has any requests for tutorials, post them up in here and if I know how to do it, I'll make a vid for it and post it!
