Nah, havn't got anything on line at the moment. All i've got to record on is a one deck tape recorder (that I have to borrow). No MD.
Do you think that he might book me on the strength of my recent / forthcoming bookings as it would save a lot of hassle. Im getting a fair bit of work around the midlands at the moment so its not like im gonna be really shit or anything like that (without sounding cockey). I would tell him to check out Breakpirates when im on but I find the set up at Nicks a bit odd so it wouldn't be a realistic account of the way I play when I play out.

Caution, just spoke to me brother and wot he's saying is that if u is a student u can play (March the 5th or 19th). It's a free gig and he's had quite a few people asking who arn't students if they can play, but he's had to turn um down.
Sorry if it's caused any problems, sure if u aint a student u can find someone with a Union card and steal it for the night :D suppose no one would know!

Yeah , I know Stuuu (about you not runnin' the night NOT the fact that Students Own me, heh).
I was merely commenting on the policy of only letting students have a squeeze at the night.
If say Hype or someone was in the area and offered to do an hour at the end, would they not let him play cos hes not a student?.
Maybe some people who go to the night regularly would be very interested to see a fat bloke from Leamington Spa (thats me not Hype btw) behind the ones and twos. Who knows?.

Fairly good turnout by about 11:30 (when myself and Mike were in mid b2b shakedown). Got asked to drop Bodyrock, I did, most people got up and started dancing :D
Richies set was tight, he dropped a wicked choon I'm trying to find the name of :p
Charlie, who was on first, played some ruff beats inc. my favourite, the Possession remix by Kemal & Rob Data!
Adam came on after Mike and me, he rocked the venue with lots of Virus style sounds, good stuff!
Only MAIN problem was the setup, the mixer was WELL dodgy, by the end of the night you had to hit it back into place to make the monitor work, LOL!! Also, the speaker system seemed to get louder and quieter all night long :(
Anyways, on the whole, good night all round, I enjoyed it, should be busier next time round :)

Top sets from ALL DJs involved (billdingo, TripleM, Narl, Krash, and myself).
Sound system was a bit gash :( and don't get me started on the monitor!! :mad:
However, more people than previous events, lots of people dancing, good up-and-coming MCs! Can't knock that! :p
I felt my set went down really well, got a few rewinds, and lots of cheers from various members of the crowd, luvin' it!

Can't wait for the next one alongside the man like Klusta! Bo!

I've been offered a set on April 2nd 2002 at this night. As you may (or may not) know im not on the road at the moment so getting to and from the venue might prove very difficult. I have a few friends that may be willing to make the drive to Portsmouth but as the night falls on a Tuesday the chances could be slim. Im gonna ring round tonight to see what they are saying but if the answer is no it could leave me with a problem.
So......
If the worst comes to the worst I would be willing to make the journey by train but then the problem of accomodation comes into play as I cant see a train going from Portsmouth to Leamington in the early hours of the morning. So would any one be willing to either....
a) recommend me somewhere to stay that is either close to the venue / train or bus station.
b) put me up for one night.
c) drive down to Leamington Spa, pick me up and take me to the gig and then drive back again. Joking btw. :p
I know this is a lot to ask but as some of you are local I was hoping you would be able to advise me on this matter. I hate to turn down bookings so if you could leave any info after this post it would be most helpful. I have not sent a confirmation mail to the promoter (Narl) yet but i'll need to let him know ASAP as hes awaiting a reply. I've been looking forward to this but I thought that it dropped on a Friday which would have been no problem but the tuesday thing may/will cause problems.

As I live in Kings Lynn it would be pretty difficult but I'm sure some of these students types will let u crash on a floor.

They are alright, bit wierd. fucked up a cpl of mixes cause of being used to techs in the lazy not listen jsut do what you know style correction. And still dont realy see the point in all those buttons but heh.
Had feedback problems tho, but still, not bad. Can't see a point in changing mind.

Those buttons r cool, reversin sounds quite good if ya get it right....although I only occasionally mess with those brake and start speed adjustments. I've also noticed that the frequency range on um is different so the sound quality is slightly better.
Just spoke to adam and it looks as though there is only gonna b one more until next year :( . I was gonna come down with a couple of other djs and rip it up on the last one but the Saturday night one in June aint gonna happen.
