right i think that the whole fuckin 'do a certain amount of posts before expressing yourself in a photo' thing is totally lame. had a great photo lined up for this forum and now i have to wait to post a 1000 times before i can fuckin get it on my posts.

which numpty thought of that brain wave?! that aint a personal dig but i wold be nice if such a rule was lifted. kinda alienates new members like myself.

Its there to make people post a fair amount before total customisation...stops so much spam advertising etc.

Don't worry. As soon as you reach 250 (?), you get to choose a preselected one.
Like mine btw. Pretty varied selection. The longer you spend time on this forum, the less you'll care about things like an avatar.

Your pic does have the suicidal theme going on. This guy thinks he's doing something wrong not being able to set an avatar. Then you tell him it's enabled when you've reached a 1000 post count. With the suicidal pic underneath. Unintentional...

I'm gonna live with it, made myself a cool little illustration for my sig anyway :)
A lot of the time when using and quickly scanning forums I don't read the username, I just see what sig or avatar they have as a way of recognising them.
I guess I want a good avatar/signature just so people will notice and recognise me a bit more :oops:
