but i believe that its not just the actor that brings out the best from a character, as much as the director. at the end its his call if he liked a performance or he wants the actor to do something else. Grand example of this is Johnny Depp. Brilliant in the hands of Burton or Gilliam, but in the wrong hands he comes up with shit like "blow"... (N)
