yeah you'll be right mate, your instructor will spend most of your first lesson telling you about the controls on the car anyway, then he will let you drive it in a straight line, an change gear.

Driving is piss easy anyway, its being around other cars and parallel parking and the other manuveres that are the hard part... and you probably have a good few lessons before you get onto them.

3 things you will learn after you pass your test
1. You only use the handbrake when you physically get out of the car, never any other time. No matter how steep a hill your on waiting for the lights to change, the foot brake will always do.
2. A 'Turn in the Road' is always done in 3 turns or less, else you are stripped of your masculinity and everyone around you is within their rights to point and laugh.
3. Don't piss off lorry drivers, they can make life painful.

I learnt to drive in proper traffic on GTA. I am not joking. Taught me how to anticipate the movement of other cars in traffic - made me very careful. I knew a car has speed that needs to be lost to stop and momentum.

My ex almost killed us twice because she tried driving as if she was playing Wipeout - i.e. she thought that you can make a 90 degree turn at 50 mph. Idiot.

i got my licence a year ago. passed all tests first time round.

you'll be right mate, its the other cocks on the road that you need to watch out for. i had my first car for a couple of months before some cockfag rear ended me and wrote my car off. it wasnt even my fault.

got new wheels now though so its all good.

just relax, go slow and take it easy. dont be too confident when youre learning (y)

;423367']just remember to take roundabouts the right way, always go round to the right!

My great aunt actually did this, during the day, reasonably peak time and with me in the car...

All my crashes have been at low speed, less than 10mph, so by this logic my advice is speed as much as possible.
