Anyone help me with laptop problem

Hi Guys, Can someone help me out with my laptop problem. I aint got clue when it comes to computers. I got Windows XP. Ive had this problem for a while now, it's geting on my nerves. Every time i try install program, i get this error msg come up:


The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if your running windows in safe mode. Or if the windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

I know im not running my computer in safe mode. I aint got clue about it wont let me install anythink. I know nowt about computers. Anyone help me. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

in your in safe mode windows will look like shite, no graphics or anything, so i guess windows installer isnt installed correctly
